28th Annual Show October 9 and 10, 2010
In 2008 we moved to the Northshore Harbor Center after being in and around the Slidell Municipal Auditorium for 25 years. We have had such a great show for the past two years that we are staying at the Northshore Harbor Center permanently! The Northshore Harbor Center is located at 100 Harbor Center Blvd, Slidell, LA. This is off I-10 at exit 261, Oak Harbor near the Twin Spans bridge. It may not show up on Mapquest but Yahoo can find it.
We are excited that this beautiful event center allows us to offer more booth space, 3 sizes of booth space (10 x 10 ft, 10 x 15 ft, and 10 x 20 ft) and for a small surcharge, 8 ft long tables with skirting, lots of electrical outlets as well as phone or modem line connections. There is a loading dock in the rear of the building that can accommodate larger crafters who usually do outside booths.
The main requirement to be in our show is that items be handcrafted. We do not allow companies with only manufactured items to be in our show. If in doubt, call Linda and ask.
We spend approximately $1800 in advertising each year. We have advertising on Charter TV's Main Street channel, The Times Picayune newspaper, Clipper Magazine, WRJW radio, Bargains Plus (a feebie newspaper usually available at grocery stores, etc), as well as flyers and listings in various newspapers and magazines that are distributed in the local area.
In 2008 and 2009 we had approximately 1000 to 1200 people come through the doors to visit our crafters. This is an estimate since we are a free-admission event.
Our show dates are 2010 - October 9th and 10th, for 20011 - Oct 8th and 9th and for 2012 - Oct 13th & 14th.
